Fractals of the Week | Dystopian Fever Dreams

I’ve three wallpapers this week, all from reconditioned presets at 1600×900 pixels in resolution. I think that these are a vast improvement on the images first produced using those presets, if a bit dark in tone. Double-click to enmacronize.

What to make of this one….Some sort of engine or reactor? Or perhaps the core processor of an alien computer? Whatever one sees in this, it doesn’t look friendly or welcoming to visitors, not with all those sharp edges floating about!

It’s a celebration! But wait…Where is everyone? Here might be any number of things, but to my eyes looks a lot like a view into a brightly decorated town square with nobody in sight! What happened? Where did they go? This one is a recent draft that I may make into a larger image suitable for full-sized prints. It bears further exploring.

This is another that I think could use further development, and possibly a bit more tweaking. But the sharp, pointy, evil-looking fibrous edges are a good start, and once finished, will make a good-sized print file!

I’ll explore it a bit further, and post a sample of the best outcome here.
