The Weekly Gnuz & Lynx Roundup: 2014/03/30

Indras_Promise_1UG’day, and happy Sunday! I’ve got a few things going in this week, and the previous was a bit rough to take in with news of the death of a friend last February, whom I first met under his alias of Skeptic Cat, and later, upon the deletion of his blog, the handle of C_A_T. At least I can say that we last corresponded as friends, and I guess that’s far better than the alternative. But he’s gone, as we all shall be in time, a wonderful, kindhearted, witty, brilliant wizard of the web who liked cats, history, memes, and sported a mean kilt too.

But enough. It’s already apparent that a week since the news has not been time enough. Okay, I’ll shut up about it now unless asked first. Promise.

This morning, I begin the page mentioned in the last Caturday’s Astrophenia entry, on projects past, present and future, a way of keeping me motivated and accountable to you, the readers, in making sure I’m kept at my word once it’s given, and remove the need to give it further without my vile ambitions overreaching my time schedule and motivation to achieve them. It’s all a matter of process goals over end goals, with a healthy mix of time management, drive, and training on new skills with practice.
