G’day, peeps, and a good Friga’s Day for those of you living anywhere in Scandinavia! This week has been…interesting. Sunday, we had a game, which was a good thing, with a new player getting involved in the GURPS campaign — Welcome, Thomas. I’m still on a break from formal studying, and just reading for fun. If I learn something, cool, and if all I get out of it is entertainment, that’s good too, since it encourages me to read more. I’ve a problem with zoning out too soon when reading something, but I’m making progress in working on that — I’m often too easily distracted by minutia, or distracted by fear of distraction — NOT good!
On Left Hemispheres, there’s The Double Bind of Christian Faith in God, A List of Companies that Support Marriage Equality, and Aurora Theater Shooting Victims Charities — Check them out, and on that last, donate if you can!
Earlier this Monday, I posted on Demythologizing Reason, the greatest machine that never was, on Charles Babbage‘s Analytical Engine for a little steampunk goodness (and I’ll be checking out The Witches of Chiswick too!), and Misogyny — Not a Laughing Matter, which, not surprisingly, got some critical commentary.
Kriss’s blog had a good post Let’s Divide and Conquer THEM, not the Other Way Around.
