Please, Don’t Appeal to Quantum Mechanics to Propagate Your Pseudoscience « Exposing PseudoAstronomy


There is no formal logical fallacy that I know of called “Appeal to Quantum Mechanics,” but I think it should be on the books. It is a frequently utilized term by purveyors of New Age beliefs and other ideas to try to make their ideas seem more sciencey when, in fact, to anyone who actually knows quantum mechanics and slaved away for tens of hours a week on QM homework, it just makes them sound stupid…

Where is the murder charge ??? « Virginian Opinions

Marcia Powell Ok, I didn’t know Marcia Powell. Apparently the only thing we have in common other than a last name, are medical problems. After reading this article though, , from the Phoenix New Times, I have to ask “Where are the murder charges?”. At the very least there should be a prosecution for negligent manslaughter. This isn’t some third or fourth world country. This occurred in Arizona. I want to be confident that if I ever run afoul of the law and have to serve time as an inmate, particularly for something as minor as prostitution, that my incarceration will not kill me…
