  1. Couldn’t leave a comment on the “Electric Universe” entry, so I’ll leave it here. I can’t really find anything which explicitly defines this theory. Wikipedia deleted the entry because, presumably, it’s ridiculous. From the bits I can see about it smells fishy to me.



    1. From what I gather, it’s not so much a theory as ideological astrophysics denial in the fringe-cult the major proponents have built around themselves through their websites and videos that they use to market their propaganda.

      It seems to have started all the way from the 1950s with Immanuel Velikovsky’s supporters, and evolved into its present form during the 90s.

      At least two of the leading proponents were disciples of Velikovsky and are listed in the Velikovsky encyclopedia, namely David Talbott and Wallace Thornhill.
